Lampard says 'Spygate' won't affect players; Ex-Barcelona man's future up in the air; Preston release six - latest Championship news

Lampard says 'Spygate' won't affect Derby

Frank Lampard says the spying controversy that surrounded his side's last meeting with play-off opponents Leeds will not affect his Derby side.

The two sides will clash in the first leg of their play-off semi-final on Saturday.

A Leeds employee was found at Derby's training ground before their previous encounter which Leeds won back in January.

Lampard told Sky Sports : "That doesn't matter at all going into this game for us.

"It certainly won't do for my players and I presume it won't for their players because when they get out there they're professionals."

Bojan has Stoke future... or does he?

Former Barcelona youngster Bojan Krkic has a future at Stoke City if he wants one, according to his manager.

Nathan Jones denied reports in the Stoke Sentinel that he had told Bojan his time at the club was up and instead suggested he and the player had mutually agreed that a move might be best for the 28-year-old.

He told the club's official website : “We were honest with each other. Bojan has been frustrated at his lack of game time and he suggested that it might be better if he looked for a fresh challenge elsewhere at this stage of his career and I agreed with him.

“But to suggest that I’ve told him he has no future at the Club is ludicrous. Quite frankly the way this has been presented is wrong."
