LaMelo Ball makes fun of Lonzo Ball for putting up zero points in a game

Many have been hard on Lonzo Ball for his shot and overall scoring ability in his first couple years in the NBA. He’s currently only averaging 9.9 PPG (10.2 PPG last year), compared to his 14.6 PPG average in his freshman year at UCLA.

Fans aren’t the only ones making fun of Ball for his inability to score as his brother, LaMelo Ball, clowned him in the most recent episode of “Ball in the Family” for putting up a fat zero in a game earlier this season (the moment starts around the 1:50 mark).

Lonzo: Are you coming to that game?
LaMelo: Nope. I ain’t missing (expletive). Zero points.
Lonzo: It’s a new day tomorrow. It’s not about the points. It’s about the wins.
LaMelo: Last time, he said this. ‘Are you coming to the game? I got 15-plus shots.’ I said ‘Alright.’ TWO shots.
Lonzo: I was open on the two, so I shot the two. Did we win?

LaMelo then eloquently stated “(expletive) that winning (expletive)”. I’m sure you can fill in the blanks.

It’s unclear what game LaMelo is referencing. The dinner in Cleveland occurred prior to the Lakers game against the Cavaliers on Nov. 21. Two games prior to that, Lonzo had zero points in a loss to Orlando. One night later, Ball had just two points in a win over Miami. Considering their father’s penchant for reminding people that he’s “NEVER LOST,” you could understand if the whole family had memory issues.

Hopefully, Lonzo won’t put up zero points again this season. Lonzo’s currently injured with no timetable for his return. He should be back no later than next month, and will hopefully return in a big way as the Lakers fight for the playoffs.
