Lamborghini abandoned in Glasgow city centre after 'crashing into parking meter'

A luxury sports car was abandoned after crashing in Glasgow city centre last night.

The orange motor, believed to be Lamborghini, was found badly damaged on St Vincent Street at 9.45pm, and appears to have smashed into a parking meter.

The 5-litre Lambo is worth in excess of £100,000 and police revealed this morning the occupants fled the scene and appealed for witnesses to come forward.

Footage shared with Glasgow Live by eyewitnesses show police and firefighters on the scene with the road closed off.

An eyewitness to the scene told Glasgow Live it looked like firefighters were attempting to access the boot of the vehicle.

A Police spokesperson said: “Around 9.45pm on Saturday, November 20, officers were made aware of a car having crashed into a parked car on St Vincent Street, Glasgow.

"The occupants of the car had left the scene and enquiries are ongoing to trace them.”
