Australia's Adam Lambert has wrapped up his Olympic preparation by adding a World Cup gold to his bronze in back-to-back snowboard cross events in China.
Lambert stormed to victory to claim his first World Cup win in the men's big final in Dongbeiya on Sunday to launch himself into his third Games next month in Italy on a high.
It capped a massive weekend for Australia's Winter Olympians, winning six World Cup medals, including three gold: Lambert, Scotty James in the halfpipe, and Jakara Anthony in the moguls.
The 28-year-old from Jindabyne crossed the finish line ahead of Austria's Alessandro Haemmerle, with American Nathan Pare third.
It was Lambert's third successive podium and extended his lead in the overall season rankings, with competition now on hold until the Games get under way on February 6 (local time).
Cam Bolton was the next best Australian male in 16th place.
"I came into today and yesterday with a pretty solid plan and that was pretty much to not lead at the beginning and finish first at the bottom," Lambert said.
"I managed to execute that to perfection and I can't believe it, I'm so stoked."
Australia was unlucky not to add another medal to those won by Lambert and Josie Baff, who won silver in the first World Cup in Dongbeiya on Saturday.
Mia Clift finished fourth on day two in her best result of the season while Baff placed fifth, with Brit Charlotte Bankes taking the yellow bib from her as the new rankings leader.
Julia Nirani-Pereira won the second competition ahead of French compatriot Chloe Trespeuch, with race one winner Bankes third.
