Lamb chops shoved up car exhaust pipe as police probe mystery meat attacks

A series of meat-based attacks are being investigated by police. They include an incident when uncooked lamb chops were stuffed into the exhaust pipe of a car.

Police do not know if the incidents are a prank or something more sinister. The crimes also include raw meat and eggs being thrown at properties in Credenhill Hereford, on Saturday (April 2).

Uncooked chicken drumsticks were also jammed on the wheel rim of another vehicle on the same day, MirrorOnline reports. West Mercia Police have shared images of the fresh meat that was used in the incidents and they are appealing for information.

In a statement, West Mercia police said: "We are investigating an incident in Credenhill Hereford. On the 2nd April at approximately 21:35 eggs and raw meat were thrown at a property in the area.

"The offender then proceeded to stuff lamb chops in to the exhaust pipe of a vehicle that was parked on the driveway. Another property nearby also had food thrown at it."

The incidents have made people people angry at the waste of good food, especially during the cost of living crisis. One person replying to a police Facebook post wrote: "Not only making a mess for people, what a waste of good food, when so many people in the world starving.

Of course, someone couldn't resist a joke, writing: "Police now at the scene having a butchers about."
