Lamar Odom hits back after being trolled for saying he misses Khloe in now-deleted post

Lamar Odom has hit back after being hit with a wave of criticism for sharing an old photo of himself and ex-wife Khloe Kardashian and saying he "misses [his] best friend".

In a now-deleted Facebook post on Monday evening, the 42-year-old former NBA player shared an old photo of himself being hugged by Khloe as they attended a party.

However, Lamar - who previously said he regrets cheating on Khloe during their marriage from 2009 until 2016 - was slammed for the post by fans, prompting him to hit back and say that he is "human like everyone else".

He continued: "Didn’t know we not allowed to miss someone regardless if mistakes were made.

“But I get it I let people down and I will pay for it forever and that’s ok too. Goodnight Facebook Family.”

While Khloe and Lamar officially divorced in 2016, they broke up three years prior in 2013.

Lamar had captioned the photo: "Missing my best friend. #memories for life.”

The couple famously married in September 2009 after just one month of dating.

Opening up about their break-up in 2019, Lamar said that his cheating on Khloe "haunts [him] every day".

He told BuzzFeed News : "You marry someone after 30 days, they never leave your heart.”

After the pair filed for divorce, Lamar was hospitalised after a suspected overdose following a four-day drugs binge at a Nevada brothel.

Despite their estrangement, Khloe rushed to his side and halted divorce proceedings to allow her to make medical decisions on his behalf.

The reality star maintained a bedside vigil for three days, not even leaving to shower and sleeping on hospital chairs pushed together as her husband lay comatose.

“She was my angel,” he said. “When I woke up out of the coma, my memory was terrible and I couldn’t walk or talk, and just her spirit, always being there, her bringing pictures of my mother, my grandmother, just to help me bring my memory back.”
