Lamar Jackson says he’s been working on footwork during 2021 offseason

The Baltimore Ravens will look to make some noise in not only the AFC, but also the entire NFL during the 2021 season. One of the key players who will be directly tied to Baltimore’s success is quarterback Lamar Jackson.

When Jackson was asked if there was anything mechanically that he’s been focusing on during the offseason to improve, the fourth-year quarterback pointed to his footwork.

“…I was working on my footwork. That’s a big emphasis for me – just working on my footwork, making sure I stay open so the ball can drive, so I can put a little tight spiral on the ball.”

In 2020, Jackson saw a bit of a statistical regression from his 2019 MVP campaign, but he was still able to improve and show growth in some areas of his game. However, he also struggled in some aspects, so to hear the former Louisville star say he’s been working on getting his footwork down is a great sign for things to come during this upcoming season.
