Lamar Jackson quickly apologizes for driving 105 mph without a seat belt

Well, that was quick. Hours after a video of Lamar Jackson driving up to 105 miles per hour without a seat belt went viral Wednesday — he was filming himself — the Baltimore Ravens quarterback apologized.

Originally from Jackson’s Instagram story, TMZ Sports reposted the video (which has since been removed) with arrows drawing attention to the seat belt icon on the dashboard as well as the speedometer. Since we don’t see Jackson’s face in the video, we couldn’t say with 100 percent certainty that the future of the Ravens franchise was behind the wheel during this very unsafe drive, but his apology confirms it was him.

Yeah, driving that fast and without a seat belt is already dangerous, but filming yourself doing it and putting it on social media is another bad idea.

Along with the obvious danger to Jackson’s health and safety, the Ravens probably weren’t too happy about this ride — especially when the Kansas City Chiefs are doing things like prohibiting Patrick Mahomes from playing basketball to protect their quarterback.

Here’s the reposted video, via TMZ Sports:
