Lamar Jackson may target WR Odell Beckham Jr & Zay Flowers vs. Lions

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson should target both wide receivers Odell Beckham Jr. and Zay Flowers in 1-on-1 man coverage situations by throwing to them underneath today. This strategy can be done through shallow crosser concepts and quick slant routes.

The Ravens must force the Detroit Lions into playing man coverage and they can only successfully do this by establishing the run. With quarterback Lamar Jackson being used in the run game more frequently this season, the Ravens should sequence in no-huddle tempo after positive running plays to offset the Lions pass-rush. The no-huddle offense should be used to get both wide receiver Zay Flowers and Odell Beckham Jr into space.

Understand, if Ravens offensive coordinator Todd Monken tries to sequence in too many deep passing plays, he will leave his offensive line at the mercy of Lions defensive end Aidan Hutchinson. Baltimore must avoid being sacked too many times if they plan on coming out victorious.
