Lamar Jackson helped a photographer after a scary sideline collision

The average football fan probably doesn’t realize how dangerous the NFL sideline can be for photographers and stadium personnel. The game is played at such a high speed with enormous human beings running at people who are often in vulnerable positions.

It’s a recipe for disaster, but that’s part of the job for many photojournalists and sideline workers.

On Sunday, a photographer was on the wrong side of a collision with Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, and she took a hard spill to the ground. But rather than simply make his way to the field, Jackson made sure to check on the photographer and help her up.

That was a great gesture — a gesture that honestly doesn’t happen as much as it should. More NFL players should be like Lamar Jackson.

Thankfully, both Jackson and the photographer were fine. The camera equipment didn’t appear to be damaged either.
