Lakeside: Desperate search after 15-year-old boy goes missing at Essex shopping centre

Specialist officers are searching a lake at a shopping centre after a teenager went missing in Grays last night.

Essex Police were called to Lakeside Shopping Centre, Thurrock, on July 31, to reports of a missing 15-year-old boy.

Superintendent Craig Saunders said: “Our investigation has identified that he was last seen at around 8.50pm, on the lake.

“We will be working with specialist search teams to carry out an extensive search of the lake and surrounding area today.

The teen was last seen by the Alexandra Lake (Google Maps)

“We ask that you please avoid the area, as we continue our search."

The shopping centre has a series of large car parks at the site and the force is asking for anyone with dashcam, CCTV or mobile phone footage to come forward.

Call police on 101 quoting 1441 of 31 July.
