Lakers vs. Kings Recap: The good, the bad and the Ball

The Los Angeles Lakers snapped a five-game losings streak with a win over the Sacramento Kings at Staples Center. on Sunday Here was the good, the bad and the Ball from the game.

The Good: ‘Bron and Kuz

LeBron James and Kyle Kuzma poured on 29 points-a-piece on the Kings on Sunday, but they got there in very different ways.

James was feeling it from the start of the game and made an impact beyond just scoring, contributing 11 assists and 11 rebounds en route to his eighth triple-double of the season.

Meanwhile, Kuzma got most of his work done in the third quarter, scoring an impressive 21 points in the third quarter. Kuzma’s scoring outburst was a welcome sight, to say the least. In the 10 games prior to Sunday, Kuzma was shooting 38 percent from the field, including 25 percent from behind the arc.

The Lakers might already be eliminated from playoff contention, but every game for the rest of the season is an opportunity for James and Kuzma to develop chemistry for next season.

The Bad: The tank

With a win over the Kings on Sunday, the Lakers are now two games back from having the ninth-best odds in the NBA Draft Lottery. Sure, besting the Kings in the regular season series is nice, but so is having a better shot at Zion Williamson or Ja Morant.
