Lakers visit Suns for their most winnable game on remaining schedule

After falling at home to the league’s best team on Friday night, the Los Angeles Lakers are in Phoenix to take on league’s worst team in the Phoenix Suns.

And even better news for the Lakers is that the Suns already snapped a franchise record 17-game losing streak earlier this week in Miami. They did it with a balanced scoring effort up and down the roster. Devin Booker still led the way with 20 points, but he had a team high nine assists.

The Suns also got a little bit better, perhaps marginally, by adding Tyler Johnson at the deadline from Miami. So the Lakers won’t have a night off at both guard spots. Also, starting center and No. 1 pick DeAndre Ayton will be a problem for the Lakers in the middle.

LeBron James has been taking the task of guarding centers for the Lakers lately, but Ayton is the biggest of the bunch.

Especially after the Lakers key players played major minutes trying to pull the upset against Milwaukee, the Lakers could be vulnerable if they don’t take the Lakers seriously.
