Lakers unable to comeback from poor start in loss at 76ers

Ben Simmons played 41 minutes, scored 28 points, 10 rebounds and dished eight assists, to go with four steals, as the Philadelphia 76ers routed the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday night, 108-91. Tobias Harris led the Sixers with 29 points and Al Horford had 16 points, including a couple of clutch buckets late after the Lakers had cut the Sixers lead to five points in the fourth quarter.

Simmons also was a super-efficient 12 for 15 from the field in the game.

James had 29 points, eight assists, and seven rebounds as he passed Kobe Bryant on the All-Time scoring list. Anthony Davis had a nice game with 31 points and seven assists but he had five turnovers. Both he and LeBron struggled taking care of the ball. James had eight turnovers and struggled most of the night with his outside shot.

The Lakers struggled all night long with their outside shot and LeBron was no exception. James made his only 3-pointer of the night with under two minutes left in the game and the game already well in hand for the 76ers.

The Lakers finally head back home after the five-game road trip, but it won’t be an easy welcome home. They will face their crosstown rival L.A. Clippers, who they have yet to beat so far this season in two meetings.
