Lakers tie highest scoring quarter of the bubble vs. Pacers

The Los Angeles Lakers have struggled with their offense through the first five games of the bubble. But on Saturday evening, they tied their best offensive output in a single quarter as they responded against a strong Indiana Pacers team in the second quarter of their game.

The Lakers outscored the Pacers 35-20 in the 2nd quarter, tying their highest output for a quarter (1st quarter of their first game vs. Clippers), and helping them take a 59-54 lead into halftime. In the second quarter, the Lakers’ defense helped key the offense. The Pacers were held to just 20 points and scoring dynamo TJ Warren was held to 0 points in the 2nd quarter after scoring 18 in the first quarter. LeBron James finished the first half with 17 points, which TNT’s Draymond Green believes has been his best performance so far in the NBA Bubble.

The Lakers also got a nice boost off the bench from Quinn Cook, who had 13 points in the first half.
