One of the finest gifts for a reality television producer is when you can bring back one of the audiences favorite characters. And the Real Lakers of Los Angeles have proven once again they’re one of the best reality shows in the world by bringing back a fan favorite.
The Real Lakers are bringing back feel-good storyline of last season, 33-year old career G Leaguer Andre Ingram.
Ingram will join the Lakers on their upcoming five-game road trip, according to Lauren A. Jones. Shams Charania of The Athletic later reported Ingram would be on a 10 day contract.
Hollywood does love a sequel and the Lakers once again have a chance for their basketball games to be about something more than wins and losses. But that’s kind of become par for the course.
Ingram’s story was a viral sensation last year after he was called up to the Lakers. He scored 19 points off the bench in his NBA debut.
With almost all of their young players dealing with some sort of injury and LeBron James on a minutes restriction, the Lakers are likely hoping a story like Ingram’s can help this failure of a season go down a little bit easier.
