Lakers starting lineup: Vogel swaps KCP for injured Avery Bradley

The Los Angeles Lakers have been on a pretty great run over the first two weeks of the season, posting the league’s best defense and the best record in the Western Conference over their first six games. But their already thin guard depth will be tested a little bit on Tuesday night when they face the Chicago Bulls as they will be without one of their starting guards.

Los Angeles Lakers head coach Frank Vogel told reporters at Lakers shootaround on Tuesday that they’d be without Avery Bradley, who will be replaced in the starting lineup by Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, according to Tania Ganguli of The Los Angeles Times. Bradley was previously ruled questionable after leaving Sunday night’s game at San Antonio in the final minutes.

Caldwell-Pope, mostly due to his salary over the last three years and his connection to Klutch Sports, may be the most scrutinized role player on the Lakers but he has been playing better offensively as of late.

Over the last four games, Caldwell-Pope is averaging nearly 10 points per game and shooting 36.4 percent from long-distance. Caldwell-Pope also ranks 5th on the team in on-court net-rating, according to Cleaning The Glass.
