Lakers start nearly two-week stretch in L.A. on Tuesday vs. 76ers

The Los Angeles Lakers begin a stretch where they will play their next six games in Staples Center on Tuesday night against the Philadelphia 76ers. The Sixers, while firmly in the Eastern Conference playoffs, are currently banged up as they are without their two All-Stars, Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid.

That means that the focus for the Lakers tonight will likely be Sixers point guard Shake Milton. Milton had a career-high 39 points in Sunday afternoon’s loss to the L.A. Clippers, 136-130. Milton was on an incredible hot streak, hitting 13 consecutive 3-pointers over the course of two games. The Lakers will have to focus their defensive efforts on him tonight.

As for the Lakers, they could get back Anthony Davis and Alex Caruso, who are both questionable after sitting out in Sunday night’s win over the New Orleans Pelicans.

After tonight’s game, the Lakers have a marquee matchup around the corner against reigning MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo and the league-leading Milwaukee Bucks, before rolling into a “road” game against the Clippers on Sunday.
