For the second matchup in a row, the Oklahoma City Thunder will not have to see LeBron James.
The Los Angeles Lakers star has been ruled out of their Thursday game with a rectus abdominis strain, according to Bleacher Report.
James has appeared in the last three games after missing two in a row. Over his six total appearances, he played 37 minutes per game with averages of 24.8 points, 7.0 rebounds and 5.5 assists per contest.
In the OKC and LA game on Oct. 27, the James-less Lakers blew a 26-point lead to the Thunder, who stormed back in the second quarter and second half to pick up their first and only win of the season.
Malik Monk started in James’ spot during that game.
Fellow Lakers star Anthony Davis was probable entering Thursday.
Thunder wing Lu Dort and Gabriel Deck were both questionable.
Tipoff is scheduled for 9:30 p.m. Central Time.
