Lakers reportedly make Ball and Ingram available for AD, Pelicans want Kuzma

The Anthony Davis trade rumors are starting to heat up with the Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics reportedly engaged with the Pelicans on a potential Davis deal as of this afternoon.

But now we are starting to hear names of those involved and despite Magic Johnson no longer being in charge, Anthony Davis Trade Talks 2.0 are looking a little bit like the first version with names on the Lakers side leaking out.

First, we go to Marc Stein of the New York Times, who says that Lonzo Ball and Brandon Ingram are both on the table, along with the 4th pick in the 2019 draft.

The name of Kyle Kuzma has also come up in the last few minutes as an apparent sticking point between L.A. and New Orleans.

To recap what we know as of now: the Lakers are attempting to move the No. 4 pick for an established players, while putting Brandon Ingram and Lonzo Ball on the table for a deal but they’re reluctant to include Kuzma in a deal. The L.A. Times duo also reported that the Lakers may be able to keep the 4th pick if Kuzma is included in the deal.

But with the draft being considered top-heavy, that may not be very attractive to the Pelicans. If the Lakers are able to keep Kuzma, they would have a solid complimentary player next to LeBron James and Anthony Davis who doesn’t need a lot of plays run for him to make an impact on the offensive end.
