Lakers prepare to hit 2nd game of 3-game trip at Spurs

LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers look to make their mark on the Western Conference on Sunday when they face off against the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday afternoon.

The Spurs themselves are riding quite the winning streak heading into Sunday as they’ve been very calm feeling their opponents throughout the season. LeBron James and Anthony Davis have delivered throughout the week and don’t appear to be slowing down with their enthusiasm. Everything told, the Lakers were comfortable and in control against most of the Mavs they faced on Friday.

James is coming off of his best game of the season with 39 points, 16 assists and 12 rebounds, generally looking like the boss on the court. Anthony Davis had 31 points but he didn’t exactly slow down when it came to asserting his dominance in Friday night’s game against Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis.

Heading into Sunday, the Lakers have the 3rd best defensive rating in the NBA and the 10th best defense. The more they play, the tougher they will be to defend and the tougher they will be to beat come playoff time.
