Lakers plan on a second meeting with former LeBron coach Ty Lue

Rob Pelinka has a procedure and that involves a second meeting with 2016 NBA Champion Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Ty Lue.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and Dave McMenamin reported on Friday that the Lakers wanted another interview with Lue. This comes after it’s been known that the Lakers want another interview with Williams.

The Lakers have had their eyes on this upcoming free agent class and they’ve yet to truly assert control. Lue and Pelinka met for over an hour on Friday but there are clearly some hurdles to climb.

In addition to the general complications of filling a coaching opening, there’s the notion that the Lakers are an untrustworthy organization only looking out for the family’s bottom line. It remains to be seen if there is a star of any level that can get the Lakers to snap out of their old ways.

Lue’s second interview follows a second interview for Monty Williams, who has head coaching experience but hasn’t yet coached LeBron to any notable success.
