Lakers, other NBA teams could return to practice facilities in May

Although the Los Angeles Lakers and the rest of the NBA aren’t anywhere closer to being able to play real games and return to the season, the NBA is looking at a way to get more of their players access to practice facilities so that more of them can work out and get in better shape during the current hiatus, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

The NBA will be following some of the states that have eased stay-at-home orders in order to give their players more access to facilities. However, Woj wanted to clarify that does not mean that games coming back anytime soon is imminent. This is being done so players can get in better shape at a safe place, not a public gym.

Teams had previously been told by the league to suspend all facility operations, except in the case of special circumstances for players who are rehabilitating from injuries.
