The Los Angeles Lakers will get a boost of depth when they play in Game 3 of their first round series against the Portland Trail Blazers later this evening down in the NBA Bubble. After injuring his hand during the Lakers’ first practice in the bubble, veteran guard Rajon Rondo will make his return in tonight’s game.
Rondo has been a solid contributor for the Lakers this season, particularly when he plays alongside LeBron James. The two players were strong on the court together as the Lakers outscored their opponents by 8.1 points per 100 possessions, according to lineup data from NBA.com. Game 3 will air nationally on ABC.
Frank Vogel says Rajon Rondo will be active for Game 3 tonight vs. Portland.

While the Lakers will get Rondo back off the bench, Blazers coach Terry Stotts told reporters that a change to the starting lineup is “possible” tonight for Portland after their offense has been held down by the Lakers in the first two games of the series.
