Lakers news: Anthony Davis, Vogel being careful with Achilles soreness

While LeBron James has been delivering huge moments to help the Los Angeles Lakers keep their win-streak alive this week, they’ve also been dealing with a major developing story with their other superstar this week as the Lakers revealed that Anthony Davis is dealing with Achilles tendinosis, which has kept him out for the past two games and could potentially keep him out of Friday night’s game against Memphis.

Davis returned to practice on Thursday, which was a low-contact practice, according to reports. Still, Davis and Lakers head coach Frank Vogel told reporters on Thursday his availability for Friday is a “wait and see” situation after Davis got back on the hardwood for the first time this week.

“We just did some drill work, no-contact drill work, which he did all of. He seemed fine,” Vogel said, according to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin. “We’ll see how he feels tomorrow before making any decisions on the game.”

Davis has missed five games so far this season.
