Lakers look to snap two-game skid as they visit Kings in Sacramento

The Los Angeles Lakers have no time to dwell on losing last night’s game to the Portland Trail Blazers as they are in Sacramento to face off against the Kings.

The Lakers and Kings have been connected recently in trade rumors but that’s about the only thing the two teams share this season. After the Kings were one of last year’s most exciting teams, they have become a chore to watch and have once again become one of the league’s most disappointing teams.

After being a team that played at one of the fastest paces in the league, the Kings have dropped all the way to 28th in pace. That lack of pace relative to the rest of the league has made it harder for the Kings to take teams the way they did last year, unleashing transition attack after transition attack.

The Kings have talented players but so far, they’ve been a collection of talent that hasn’t figured out how to play well together. Tonight is a great opportunity for the Lakers to reassert themselves as the dominant team they’ve been all season long.
