Lakers, LeBron James take championship celebration to Las Vegas

Sometimes after a long journey, it’s good to go back to where everything started. For the 2020 NBA Champion Los Angeles Lakers, their journey towards the franchise’s 17th NBA Larry O’Brien trophy, everything started in Las Vegas when the team had a player’s only mini-camp where they worked out together and also spend time together off the court, going to things as a group, such as a WNBA playoff game.

Considering the state of the pandemic there aren’t many places to go, but the Lakers have gone back to Las Vegas to celebrate their championship as a crew, according to the Las Vegas Journal-Review.

According to the Journal-Review, the Lakers requested a private space at the Wynn Casino, which likely cost them north of $100k, to celebrate the championship together now that they are finally outside of the bubble. Documented cases of the COVID-19 have been rising over the last month in Las Vegas, but it does sound like the Lakers are taking some precautions. There will not be a championship parade in the foreseeable future due to the pandemic.

LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, and Kyle Kuzma are reportedly those among the crew, with presumably the entire team along to celebrate the title.
