Lakers’ Kyle Kuzma will not play Tuesday night vs. the Thunder

Los Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma will not play Tuesday night on the road against the Oklahoma City Thunder due to ankle tendinitis, according to Tania Ganguli of The Los Angeles Times.

Kuzma did not play for the Lakers Sunday against the New Orleans Pelicans due to the injury as the team will re-evaluate his ankle once they return to Los Angeles.

The loss of Kuzma means the Lakers will be without six players against the Thunder: Lonzo Ball (left ankle), Josh Hart (right knee patellar surgery), Brandon Ingram (deep venous thrombosis), LeBron James (groin) and Tyson Chandler (illness).

With the Lakers expected to be shorthanded on Tuesday, the Thunder have been listed as 12-point favorites in the contest. The two teams have split the season series thus far after the Lakers won in OKC on Jan. 17.

In 70 games this season, Kuzma is averaging 18.7 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game.
