Lakers Kyle Kuzma signs representation deal with CAA Sports

As far as inter-agency drama goes in the basketball world, Kyle Kuzma’s next destination for his representation was one of the most interesting topics in the basketball world. For nearly the past year, everyone suspected that Kuzma would do the logical thing everybody in the world of LeBron James does: join Klutch Sports. But according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, all of those assumptions were wrong.

Woj broke the news on Wednesday morning that Kuz pulled the okie doke on everyone, signing with Creative Artists Agency (CAA). CAA is one of the biggest agencies in the basketball game, as well as the former agency homes of LeBron James and Rich Paul.

Kuzma’s former Lakers teammate Lonzo Ball also signed with CAA this past year after leaving his previous representation earlier in the year. As for why Kuzma might switch agents, he’s entering year three of his rookie contract and he will be eligible to negotiate a contract extension with the Lakers next July.
