Lakers Injury News: Lonzo Ball did not practice on Thursday, no timetable for return

The Los Angeles Lakers held their first practice since the NBA All-Star break on Wednesday and everyone practiced but Tyson Chandler and Lonzo Ball, according to multiple reports.

Chandler is listed as questionable for the Lakers’ game on Thursday against the Houston Rockets as he continues to struggle with neck stiffness. Ball, on the other hand, has been ruled out and there was no update given on when he’d be re-evaluated.

Ball has missed the last 10 games with a Grade 3 ankle sprain he suffered on Jan. 10 against the Rockets. Following his diagnosis, Ball was a given a timetable of 4-6 weeks. Saturday will mark five weeks with no contact for the 21-year-old point guard.

Brandon Ingram is expected to start at point guard until Ball makes his return. We’ll provide more updates as they become available.
