Lakers free agency: Avery Bradley to switch reps, evaluating player option

The Los Angeles Lakers offseason was already likely to be interesting with several key role players from their championship team entering free agency and their superstar Anthony Davis due for a big deal, they also have a new development they may have to deal with at the guard spot, where Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Rajon Rondo are already free agents.

Lakers guard Avery Bradley, who chose not to play in the Orlando Bubble out of health concerns for his family and in particular his son, has changed his representation and is considering declining his player option, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania. Bradley will now be repped by Charles Briscoe.

If Bradley declines his option and goes to free agency, the Lakers will have some extra money to help fill their roster at the guard spot. Rajon Rondo, a veteran, maybe looking to get a raise on the open market and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope will also likely be looking for a pay bump at the guard spot as well. If Bradley joins them as free agents, the Lakers will have an even busier offseason than expected.
