Lakers finalize 15-man roster for upcoming season after final cuts

The Los Angeles Lakers have their roster finally set after making the last cuts to their training camp squad on Monday afternoon.

The Lakers cut Devontae Cacok and Demetrius Jackson on Monday, cutting their roster to 15 players and the two two-way contracts of Zach Norvell Jr. and Kostas Antetokounmpo. That means that Dwight Howard, although his contract will be paid out to him on a game-by-game basis, has made the roster.

As for Cacok and Jackson, both players will likely find their way to the Lakers G League affiliate, the South Bay Lakers. Cacok and Jackson will both likely see a lot of Norvell and Antetokounmpo as well, considering the days for those two players on the Lakers roster is capped at 45.

Even if Rajon Rondo is out for tonight’s game against the Clippers, the chance that the Lakers activate Norvell to give them additional guard depth following a strong preseason is unlikely if the rest of the Lakers guards are healthy.
