The Los Angeles Lakers were barely in the game during Monday night’s loss to the Boston Celtics. The 32-point loss was the biggest margin of defeat the Lakers saw this season and although there was plenty of talk about LeBron James breaking from his routine to see his son Bronny play in nearby Springfield, head coach Frank Vogel had some more basic gripes with his teams play.
Vogel has preached all season about the Lakers being a physical team that plays with contact and during last night’s game, he didn’t see that. He went off about it to reporters after the game.

“That’s one of the most disappointing things for me because I feel like that’s a controllable thing: Boxing out and hitting people, and we didn’t really do it all in the first half. So, I’m very disappointed in that, but really from the total performance.”
The Lakers have used their size to great advantage for most of the season. However, last night they were pummeled on the glass, giving up a 12-rebound advantage to the Celtics in the loss.
