Lakers arrive at Disney World bubble, start their quarantines

The Los Angeles Lakers were one of the last teams to arrive at the Disney World campus late last night in Orlando, Florida, but they are all in their rooms now and counting down the hours until their individual quarantines are over and training camp can begin.

LeBron James and the Lakers walked into their digs at the Disney Gran Destino last night. While LeBron has mostly been quiet as far as posting, perhaps starting his Zero Dark 23 social media fast a little early, some of his other teammates have been giving their own reviews of the accommodations.

J.R. Smith wasn’t all that impressed with the bag of goodies that awaited players last night, even suggesting that the NBA told him not to talk about it so much.

While Smith wasn’t all that impressed, guys like Alex Caruso and Quinn Cook, who aren’t too far removed from riding busses and flying commercial in the G League, had some good reviews for their meals, particularly the Disney chicken wings.

The Lakers are scheduled to be in quarantine for 24-36 hours. All players and staff members must have two negative coronavirus tests before they can exit quarantine. The Lakers are scheduled to have their first practice of the Restart training camp on Saturday evening.
