Lakers are ending their practices by saying ‘1-2-3 Mamba!’

The Los Angeles Lakers carry the memory of Kobe Bryant with them every day. LeBron James spoke to the fact that he thinks about Bryant every day after the Lakers had practice on Monday and at the Lakers practice the following day, we heard another detail about how the memory of Kobe Bryant lives on with the present-day Lakers.

According to Taylor Rooks of Bleacher Report, who was at the Lakers practice on Tuesday, the Lakers broke their post-practice huddle with “1-2-3 Mamba!” a nod to Kobe’s nickname, the Black Mamba. His daughter Gigi, who also died in the crash, was nicknamed the Mambacita, because of how her moves on the basketball court emulated her father’s.

One of Kobe’s best friends, and his former agent Rob Pelinka, is also the President of Basketball Operations for the Lakers. Between that, as well as the well-documented friendship Kobe had with many players on the Lakers, especially LeBron James, has made this year incredibly difficult. But even admit it all, the Lakers are working every day with Kobe in their minds.
