Lakers announce Talen Horton-Tucker to be limited in training camp

In addition to being without Kyle Kuzma for the majority of the preseason, the Los Angeles Lakers announced on Thursday that they would also be without one of the rookies on the team who is expected to make the final 15-man roster.

Second round draft pick Talen Horton-Tucker is dealing with a stress reaction and his participation during training camp will be limited, at least until the team returns from their China trip, the team announced on Thursday. Horton-Tucker, like Kuzma, is expected to join the team on the trip but won’t be doing much.

In addition to the injuries to Horton-Tucker and Kuzma, the Lakers will also be without rookie forward Jordan Caroline. However, Caroline was brought in on an Exhibit 10 contract and isn’t expected to make the final roster. Caroline is more likely to hang around until training camp ends and get picked up by the South Bay Lakers of the G League.
