Lakeland launch £3 ‘Instagrammable’ hot chocolate bombe for Easter

Easter is only a few weeks away now and we can’t wait to gorge on chocolate eggs, movies and time off - sorry boss.

One chocolate delight customers will be happy to hear is making a comeback is the Hot Chocolate Bombe at Lakeland , priced at just £2.99.

Back by popular demand, Lakeland have seen sales increase in a whopping 227% since the Easter drink launched.

Lakeland struggled to keep up with the demand when it was first on the shelves at Christmas - selling out in just a few days.

Thankfully there are still some online at lakeland.co.uk - but you better act fast we can’t imagine they’ll stick around for long. You can even opt for free ‘click and collect’ should you want to collect it whist out and about doing your Easter shopping.

To find your nearest Lakeland store, use the store locator .

The Easter edition of the Hot Chocolate Bombe is a delicious chocolate egg that creates an indulgent, creamy hot chocolate when mixed with milk and it has a hidden surprise that people of all ages (and Instagram ) will love. Phones at the ready…

Simply pop the Bombe in a cup, pour over hot milk and watch it melt away. As the chocolate dissolves, a magical eruption of mini marshmallows, pop out from the centre and garnish the top of the drink. OMG - We could do with this now, do we really have to wait until Easter?

Jane Karlicek, Food Buyer at Lakeland said; “Hot chocolate has never been so exciting. The Easter Egg Hot Chocolate Bombe is a great addition to our range and we were instantly transported back to childhood in the office when we sampled it.”

“As with our infamous prosecco shimmer and gin garnishes , this melt adds a really fun twist and excitement to a traditional drink.  We are thrilled by the popularity of Christmas version and expect the Easter treat to prove equally as popular so advise customers to buy now whilst stocks last.”

The popularity of surprise pour-and-melt desserts were made famous by restaurants including The Ivy, Bob Bob Ricard and Duck and Waffle, who are famed for their ‘Instagrammable’ dishes, and the trend shows no sign of stopping as it develops into the drink market with this festive favourite.

Thankfully this one will only set you back £2.99 compared to the £14 you could pay in a restaurant. Now that's some saving - better get yours from Lakeland now before it's too late.
