Some of the Lake District has been transformed into a winter wonderland after heavy snow blanketed the region.
And the Lake District ski club have been enjoying the conditions , taking to the slopes with gusto.
Thick snow has fallen on the slopes in Helvellyn in Cumbria, giving the optimum surface for skiing and snowboarding at the Lake District Ski Club - reports Manchester Evening News.
Around 25 skiers were able to enjoy the pristine and untouched runs at the site on Wednesday.
While the weather conditions varied between clear skies and wild storms with heavy hail, winter sports enthusiasts were able to experience the excellent conditions.
It's position high above Thirlmere and Glenridding means it gets the best snow levels in the Lakes, which has certainly been the case over the last few days.
Pictures taken by club member Mike Sweeney shows fellow skiers having to dig out the tow, which is on the slopes of Raise next to Helvellyn, before being able to take to the snow.
Large drifts of snow can be seen across the neighbouring hills.
While a large thaw is expected at the site over the next few days, conditions are looking favourable for another day of skiing this weekend.
Sitting among the mountains with views across the fells and valleys of Cumbria, The Lake District Ski Club has up to nine runs available depending on the conditions - the longest being almost a mile.
But Mike warned that people need to bit fit to take on the slopes.
He said: "We are in a remote spot an hour's walk up a mountain with no path for part of the way (see our website).
"People need to be fit enough to make the climb carrying their kit and properly equipped."
