Ladyboys, Thai massage, Thai boxing and food demos at Nottingham's new Magic of Thailand Festival

The sights, scents and sounds of Thailand will be making the 6,000 mile trip to Nottingham this summer for a pop-up two-day festival where visitors can expect everything from ladyboys and Thai massage to boxing and live cooking demonstrations.

The Magic of Thailand Festival will land at the Forest Recreation Ground on Saturday, August 10, 10am-7pm daily, as part of a 10 date UK tour.

Advance £4 adult tickets are now on sale at eventbrite.co.uk. On the day entry will be £5 per person with children under the age of 15 admitted free of charge.

Organisers promise "delicious traditional foods" and "spectacular performances" on the main stage.

Entertainment will include Thai boxing demonstrations, ladyboy shows, kids' rides, an 'I'm British Get Me Out of Here!' eating competition, a traditional Thai costume parade as well as music and dancing.

Stalls and traders will be offering Thai carving and produce, lots of authentic food and Thai massage.

There will also be a Thai beer garden.

Nearly 1,500 people have registered their interest in attending on the event's official Facebook page.

Magic of Thailand will also be visiting Norwich, Leicester, Cambridge, Brighton and Milton Keynes.
