Lady Gaga is officially set to appear in The Devil Wears Prada sequel and my loins have never been quite this girded!
News of the pop star’s appearance in the Meryl Streep vehicle came after she was spotted in Milan where the fashion-based movie is currently being filmed. A fitting backdrop if you ask me!
It’s reported that Gaga squeezed the role into her schedule while undertaking the European leg of her Mayhem Ball tour, since there’s no rest for the girl who famously goes from “bus to club, ‘nother club, no sleep”.

While details of Gaga’s role are being kept under wraps, it’s thought she will appear in a cameo capacity, perhaps as a fictionalised version of herself or, per this writer’s fantasy, the long-lost sister of Miranda Priestly.
It will mark Gaga’s first major movie role since the 2024 musical/ drama/ dumpster fire Joker: Folie à Deux, in which she played Harley Quinn opposite Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker.
Elsewhere, Gaga appeared briefly in the recent second season of Netflix’s Wednesday, a match made in Tim Burton heaven.

Gaga joins a cast for The Devil Wears Prada sequel that is starry enough to warrant its own constellation, with Streep back on board as the extremely c*nty Priestly, Anne Hathaway returning as Andie Sachs, and Emily Blunt reprising her role as Emily Charlton.
If that trio of mothers wasn’t enough, Stanley Tucci (an honorary mother) is also set to appear in the sequel, but there’s also an array of newcomers in the form of Lucy Liu, Pauline Chalamet, Justin Theroux, BJ Novak and Conrad Ricamora.
Australia’s own Patrick Brammall will also appear, as confirmed in one of multiple pics that have leaked from the set.
In terms of other deets, the plot will reportedly follow Miranda as she navigates her career amid the decline of traditional magazine publishing.
Elsewhere, Streep sent the internet into a tizzy last week when she was spotted meeting Priestly’s real-life inspiration, former Vogue editor Anna Wintour, putting us all at serious risk of a motherquake.

We will get to revel in whatever Gaga’s role might be when The Devil Wears Prada 2 hits cinemas in May of next year. But in the meantime, gird your loins and move at a glacial pace while wearing florals in spring, because we’re about to be fed!
