Lady Gaga to play killer wife in Gucci murder movie with A-list stars in talks to join her

Lady Gaga led-film about Gucci's murder hopes to land a predominately A-list cast.

Stars Robert DeNiro, Al Pacino, Adam Driver and Jared Leto have reportedly been in talks for the movie about the 1995 murder which went down in history.

Already Lady Gaga has signed up to play convicted "Black Widow" Patrizia Reggiani in the Gucci murder crime drama.

Gucci's murder sent shockwaves through the fashion world after he was gunned down on the steps of his office in Milan.

Director Ridley Scott will bring the fashion bloodbath to cinema.

Patrizia was convicted of hiring hitmen to murder her late ex-husband Maurizio Gucci in cold blood in 1995 after he left her for another woman.

The socialite - who become known as the Black Widow - spent 18 years behind bars for arranging his murder.

In 2016, the mother was released from San Vittore prison in Milan.

Patrizia has always maintained she was innocent.

In 2018, the former fashion celebrity revealed the secret to her survival in jail two years after her release.

She told The Guardian: "I think I am a very strong person because I survived all these years in captivity.

Jared Leto is also rumoured to be in talks for the movie (Lia Toby/WENN.com)

“I slept a lot. I took care of my plants. I looked after Bambi, my pet ferret.”

Sara Gay Forden's book The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed has helped shape the screenplay.

Lady Gaga first was linked to the movie in November last year.

The singer-turned-actress got a Best Actress Academy Award nomination for her role in A Star Is Born.

While she didn't win, Lady Gaga scooped the Best Original Song for Shallow at the Oscars for the 2018 film.

MGM got the rights for the film in April.
