Lady Gaga's peace symbol as she belts out National Anthem at Joe Biden's inauguration

Lady Gaga's outfit sent out a message of peace as she performed at Joe Biden's inauguration.

Stunning in a scarlet ball gown and high-necked fitted top, she finished off her look with a golden dove of peace brooch as she belted out the National Anthem, The Star Spangled Banner.

Gaga wore her hair in a stunning up-do and beamed a big smile as she gave an incredible performance in honour of the new President of the United States.

People watching from home said she'd brought a tear to their eye.

One tweeted: "Ok lady Gaga managed to bring a tear to my eyes. I’m so relieved Trump era is over. I’m not yet fully hopeful but what is happening here is truly moving"

Gaga said Tuesday night that she hoped the inauguration ceremony would be a day of peace as she posed up in the Capitol Building looking gorgeous in an all-white outfit.

She told her Instagram followers: "I pray tomorrow will be a day of peace for all Americans. A day for love, not hatred. A day for acceptance not fear. A day for dreaming of our future joy as a country. A dream that is non-violent, a dream that provides safety for our souls. Love, from the Capitol "

Gaga, 34, who helped Mr Biden throughout his presidential campaign last year, had spoke of how honoured she was to be invited to perform.
