Lady Gaga is personally delivering physical copies of her sixth studio album Chromatica in a truck.
The AStar is Born actor shared images of herself in a Chromatica branded vehicle under the caption: “Delivering Chromatica myself to every retailer around the world. In Chromatica time and distance do not exist.”
Fans have speculated the move is an attempt to prevent a person working for a delivery company from leaking the album online.
Last month, Chromatica’s tracklist appeared on Target’s website. Though it was quickly taken down, it was quickly discovered and spread across the internet.
The singer posted the entire tracklist the same day that the information leaked — presumably because there was no chance of keeping it under wraps any more — confirming that Ariana Grande, Blackpink, and Elton John will all make appearances.
Others think the decision to hand-deliver copies of Chromatica is just a joke about bending the laws of time and space.
Delivery company FedEx have been roped into the publicity stunt after a fan posted a fake complaint against Gaga’s delivery service on Twitter.
“@FedExHelp this woman almost hit me while driving down my block delivering packages for you,” wrote the fan. “I wrote her plates down just in time.. it read “PSSYWGN” please do something immediately.”
A spokesperson for FedEx replied: “Hello, this is Lisa. I’m sorry to hear of this incident. Please DM as much information as possible. Name, address, phone number, email address, truck number, and if it was a FedEx Express, Ground, or Home Delivery truck so that I can report this to the appropriate station.”
Chromatica will be released this Friday (29 May).
