Lady Gaga was forced to stop her Sydney show mid-performance after a male dancer fell off the stage.

The Bad Romance singer, 39, temporarily called off the Mayhem Ball concert at the Accor Stadium when it was hit by heavy rain.

Two hours into the critically-acclaimed show, a dancer charged across the soaking wet floor to the front of the stage and slipped off.

The injured dancer was named as Michael Dameski. Lady Gaga was quick to wave her arms to halt the song as crew rushed to his aid.

After ensuring Mr Dameski wasn't seriously hurt, Gaga and the other performers retreated backstage to find footwear suitable for the slippery stage.

Fans praised the singer's professional response to the mishap during the final Australian show of her tour, applauding her decision to pause the performance to check on the dancer.

A fan wrote on X: "Sending love and well wishes to Gaga's dancer, Michael, who fell off stage during Garden Of Eden. So grateful that Gaga paused the show to check on him. True professionalism and compassion."

Another said: "She's so special the way she ran straight over, climbed down and made sure he was okay."

One of the world's most revered hitmakers, Lady Gaga began her 31-song setlist with recent tracks Bloody Mary and Abracadabra.

She also performed mega-hits Judas, Poker Face and Aura before the dancer's accident occurred midway through Garden of Eden, another track from her 2025 album Mayhem.

After checking on Dameski and replacing their footwear, Gaga and her dancers returned to the stage with performances of Rain On Me, How Bad Do You Want Me and Always Remember Us This Way.

Last month, Lady Gaga said she is a "healthy, whole person" after releasing her seventh studio album Mayhem, which is nominated for seven Grammy Awards.

She said: "It was months and months and months of rediscovering everything that I'd lost, and I honestly think that's why it's called Mayhem, because what it took to get it back was crazy."

Gaga is one of the world's biggest pop stars and has achieved six UK number one singles and five UK number one albums. She is best known for songs including Just Dance, Poker Face and Paparazzi and has won 14 Grammy Awards.

In May, Brazilian police claimed to have foiled a bomb plot at her free concert on Copacabana Beach, which was attended by an estimated 2.5 million people.
