Lady Gaga dons very revealing gown as she heads to Critics Choice Awards after BAFTAs

Lady Gaga switched to a very revealing gown as she headed to the Critics Choice Awards after the BAFTAs on Sunday.

The 35-year-old singer was nominated at both awards ceremonies for her portrayal of Patrizia Reggiani in Ridley Scott's drama House of Gucci, and surprised fans when she turned up to both star-studded events.

Gaga was in attendance at the BAFTAs, held at the Royal Albert Hall, which kicked off at 7pm, and just hours later, she headed to The Savoy Hotel, where the 27th annual Critics Choice Awards was being broadcast from both Los Angeles and London.

She arrived on the red carpet wearing a stunning Gucci gown, created by the fashion house’s creative director Alessandro Michele.

The unique gown featured a black lace bolero that adorned her shoulders, but her bustier was completely open, as it channelled down into a traditional gold silk floor-length gown, complete with intricate embellishment and a black sequin trim.

The bold dress was accessorised with diamond earrings and bracelet from Tiffany & Co., and her platinum blonde hair was swept up into an old-Hollywood inspired updo.

Gaga attended both events with her boyfriend Michael Polansky, and while the actress lost out on the Best Actress awards, she won in the style stakes.

For the BAFTAs, which was hosted by Rebel Wilson, the musician poured herself into a custom-made Ralph Lauren velvet dark green gown, which featured 50 metres of velvet and silk taffeta.

The waist-cinching dress, that took more than 150 hours to create, was accessorised with yet more Tiffany & Co. diamonds, and her blonde hair was in tousled waves around her shoulders.

Gaga wasn’t too disheartened to lose out at both awards ceremonies on Sunday, as she was seen giving one of the Best Actress winners, Joanna Scanlon, a standing ovation at the BAFTAs.

The British star was gobsmacked as she beat off stiff competition from Gaga, Emilia Jones and Tessa Thompson to scoop the gong for her role in the critically-acclaimed drama After Love.

And at the Critics Choice Awards, Gaga missed out on the Best Actress trophy, as it was awarded to Jessica Chastain for her stunning portrayal of a preacher in The Eyes of Tammy Faye.
