Lady Gabriella Windsor's royal wedding had its very own 'grumpy bridesmaid'

A wedding can't be a royal wedding without ticking some compulsory boxes.

Aside from needing to be royalty (however distant), there are some other key components: You need the Middletons. Ideally en masse, but having just Pippa and James Matthews pitch up is also acceptable.

There's the first public kiss, the first glimpse of the wedding dress to gasps of delight, and, of course, a grumpy flowergirl.

Back in 2011 when the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge tied the knot, little Grace Van Cutsem captured the public's attention during the balcony photocall.

She wasn't a happy bunny.

Fast forward seven years to Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank's wedding and young Mia Tindall also seemed rather disgruntled in the official photos.

Following the release of Lady Gabriella Windsor's official wedding photos, another grumpy flowergirl has followed in Grace and Mia's footsteps.

In the portraits taken in the grounds of Frogmore House , the newlyweds posed with their page boys and flowergirls, including Aurelia del Drago, who didn't seem to be feeling it.

She can be seen clutching her bouquet and appearing to scowl at the camera.

However, it might just have been a passing funk.

In other photos taken on the day, Aurelia seems in better spirits.

She flashes the camera a bright smile in the pictures taken inside with members of the royal family.

Ah, no wedding - royal or otherwise - is complete without a small child subversively upstaging the bride.
