NEW DELHI: An earthquake of magnitude 4.2 on the Richter scale jolted Kargil in Ladakh on Monday morning.
The quake occurred at 9.16am at a depth of 5km, according to the National Center for Seismology.
The epicentre of the earthquake was located at 89km south west of Alchi(Leh).
However, there have been no reports of any injuries, loss of life or damage to property.
