When Saturday swings around, it will almost be a month since Kinnoull last played a competitive game.
Unplayable pitches and even floodlight failure on one occasion have kept the Perth men sidelined since November 20.
That outing brought an impressive 6-2 cup win against Burntisland Shipyard but momentum has been unable to be built in recent weeks.
Hopes, however, are very high that this weekend will bring a much-needed return to East of Scotland League Conference B action.
The fixture card has Kinnoull down for an away trip to 11th-placed Peebles Rovers, who endured a difficult afternoon last Saturday and lost out 5-0 at home to Stirling University.
Despite a lack of action, Kinnoull remain fourth in the table and everyone at the club is ready for a return.
Boss Alan Cameron smiled: “After nearly a month without a competitive game we are on our travels to Peebles.
“It’s been frustrating for everyone as we have even had friendly matches called off due to the weather conditions.
“The boys have been working hard in training and are hoping to take the positives into the game this weekend.”
This will be the first league meeting between the sides this season.
Cameron added: “Peebles potentially have a slight advantage having played last week, and will be desperate to make amends for their home loss.
“We know what to expect and will be hoping we can come back up the road with all three points.”
Seventh-placed Luncarty, who picked up a great 4-2 win away at Lochgelly Albert last week thanks to Scott Sutherland’s double and goals from Ben Scarborough and Craig Mitchell , have a mouth-watering away trip on the cards tomorrow afternoon.
Robbie Holden’s side travel through to current Conference B leaders Glenrothes for what has all the makings of an early Christmas cracker.
