Lacazette, Ceballos and Ozil - Latest Arsenal team news and expected line-up vs Sheffield United

A week on Monday marks the return to Premier League action for Arsenal as they face Sheffield United away from home.

By the time the Gunners kick-off at Bramall Lane they may have dropped several places in the table as Leicester City, Chelsea, Crystal Palace and Burnley among others are all in action on the Saturday.

As a result, the north London outfit will need to be at their best to ensure they stay in third position.

One player hoping to make an appearance in the matchday squad is Mesut Ozil having been frozen out in recent weeks and Arsenal Head of Football Raul Sanllehi is backing the German to do exactly that in the coming weeks and months.

"There is nothing against Mesut on the contrary and I hope we get to see him much more in the next games because his qualities are without question, but he needs to contribute 24/7 and that’s what Unai expects from him," Sanllehi said at a fans forum.

With that said, it would be a surprise if Ozil travels to Sheffield.

But what's the latest team news surrounding the Gunners?

Football.london takes a look.

In terms of injuries, there is one fresh concern as Reiss Nelson will miss the game after pulling out of England Under-21 duty with a knee problem.

Although there is some great news on the injury front for Emery.

Alexandre Lacazette has missed the last seven games across all competitions with an ankle injury sustained in the 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur at the beginning of last month.

However, it would appear that the Gunners' no.9 is closing in on a return to action, meanwhile Dani Ceballos overcame an hamstring scare to start for Spain against Norway.

In terms of a line-up, one of many decisions Emery has to make is whether or not he brings Lacazette back immediately

Given that there are many games on the horizon we expect the Frenchman to be on the bench which means another start for Bukayo Saka alongside Nicolas Pepe and leading scorer Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Expected Arsenal line-up: Leno; Chambers, Sokratis, David Luiz, Tierney; Xhaka, Guendouzi, Ceballos; Pepe, Aubameyang, Saka
