Labour and the Conservatives braced for further resignations on Tuesday after several MPs quit to form a group of independents.
This came as seven Labour defectors and party leader Jeremy Corbyn faced a barrage of criticism following Monday's momentous 'independent group' announcement.
There were multiple MPs warning more walkouts could be afoot form Labour on Tuesday, while some Tory defectors were also speculated.
In Brexit news, Minister Stephen Barclay also briefed the Cabinet on the latest developments, with reports both sides are still working to get beyond the impasse. The EU, however, reiterated the stance that the withdrawal agreement will not be reopened.
